years ago i bought some intensely crocheted reasonably fine string pot mitts that were scandinavian. they have been amazing but are wearing out and of course it was so long ago the store i bought them from is long gone. i'm not fond of gloves preferring a mitt that has good movement in it but still keeping the heat at bay. whats a girl to do but grab a ball of string at the garden shop and get knitting
first up was knitted - linen stitch which i love as it creates a piece of fabric that feels woven. i like this one best - fine enough to wrap around a pot handle or lid - enough fabric to stop the burn
next up was a ripple edged with bakers twine. not bad. comes in at second place
and coming in at an honest third, ordinary old dc. nice and thick is its attribute
the triplets
