good vibrations

a little while ago michael had a meeting at mt maunganui which is in the bay of plenty, three hours south east from auckland. as a child it was where we spent our holidays so i am always happy to visit. of course it has grown up somewhat but not too much. prairie and i jumped in for the ride, spent time in the thrift stores/op shops and then waited on the beach in the late afternoon sun getting chased down the beach by the sun setting behind the mount itself.

i bought this little dresser - it was for coasters and there were a few left but i'll use it for the dolls house or a prop.

sunday mornings have become the time when we get our raw milk for the week so its been the usual mad dash washing all the glass jars i can find to house the 30 litres thats on its way!

i'll make paneer and yoghurt and will try my hand at haloumi. i do love a fridge packed full at the end of the processing.

the milk comes in 10 and 20 litre pails and i bail it out with the green gate jug - it has proved to be the best pourer. the blue jug is for catchment - i don't like to waste a drop - literally!

it has been some time i know - life just fills up sometimes doesn't it and, i had this contract with myself that i couldn't post until i had put up the pattern. suddenly, in a flash, six weeks seemingly roared by.
