Wow - the machine is beautiful!

Well done, it's a beauty. I think I may have sewing machine envy!

Lyndy

hehe, love the egg cup - I have it in yellow :0)

This is a gorgeous machine ... love the gingham lining of the matching case. I think the older mechanical sewing machines are great. They tend to sew much better than some of the inexpensive modern machines.

You bought what was at the time the "Rolls Royce" of sewing machines--something akin to the A701A Kenwood Chef, except it's probably even older and isn't fetching as much on TradeMe. I inherited my mother's and it's over 50 years old. She went without a lot of other things so she could pay for it. It will last me the rest of my life and be handed on to either my niece or my nephew's wife. I don't sew any more but I still need a sewing machine!
