a friend was bringing a bottle of amarone for dinner - a huge italian red which we paired with jugged hare, wild pork and red currant jelly. i haven't cooked wild meat for a long time - it was amazing and i am happy to have found a good source - haven't taken up a rifle just yet!

we are lucky that just outside of town we have an organic farm that does a meat csa. so every month we go pick up our share of local, grass-fed, free-range, organic, (insert any positive buzz word here) meats!
so i haven't had to take up a rifle (or farming) just yet either!! :)
