the tragedies of our very own christchurch and the not so far away japan are never far from my mind and it makes me feel sad, vulnerable and frightened. yesterday i had a whole day at home on my own so decided to roll up my sleeves and get on with something therapeutic - i changed a room around.
i put the popping corn in a jar - may have to grow a few more plants next year. i guess we better see how well it actually pops!
and put my new stash of sock yarn in a basket - our local spotlight had it for $5 a ball with 20% off that. i went back twice! socks for all this year!
i just found out yesterday that the foo fighters are coming here to do a benefit concert - good old dave! tommy and i are going to grab some tickets in the morning when they go on sale. now thats something to smile about!
I wish in times of tragedy my therapy was to clean and organize - but the exact opposite happens to me. And I quilt. I'm glad you found yours. And it looks great, SP!
Hope all is getting better fast in NZ! Christchurch is in our hearts and prayers! I saw on the news some Kiwi search and rescue teams in Japan. Talk about heroism!

love the table, it looks so inviting.
i agree, sometimes it is so hard to know what to do with oneself in the midst of so many tragedies... i think it's admirable that you were able to turn the worry into positive energy.
