on a wet and dreary day between christmas and new year a big box arrived all the way from america! much excitement was felt (with the girls anyway!) prairie and i spent a dreamy afternoon going through the treasures. everything was packaged so beautifully i just wanted to gaze at the wrapping but there were 10 twitching fingers beside me and we eventually opened everything! i was stunned at the work that everyone had put in. the attention to detail amazing and the love that was so evident was touching. if you get a chance to take part in a round of club little house i would don't miss it. from opening the box so beautifully put together by amy - thank you, thank you to savouring every teeny package. bliss.
i was going to photograph all the little packages but i couldn't wait once they were opened - i had to make little set ups using all the new goodies. and who was sniffing around thinking this was a great thing - well it was munk! back from a rather long hiatus. you can see him
here and
here.
and here he is at the window looking out for his guest.
hasn't he been a busy boy! from
leslie and sylvan was the most beautiful 'birthday party in a box'. itty bitty blowers, a sponge cake with real sponge, a table for it to sit on, presents and a banner. in the corner your eyes will rest on a very gorgeous armoire which i was really hoping would be in our box. i want a big one to match!!! this was sent by the very clever
pamela. on the wall from
tammy is the most darling quilt and on the little table a work basket packed with everything an enterprising munk would need - tape measure, scissors, pattern and fabric. he already has his own sewing machine. and on the wall are two treasures found in a dusty attic. they came wrapped in calico with the teeniest letter and envelope. too cute. thank you
hope! last but not least in this room is the upholstered bench that the naughty monkey is standing on to enable him to see out the window. made by
lisa it adds an elegance to the room!
and a close up on that real sponge. this totally tickled prairie's fancy!
we were thrilled to get a little box that supplied everything we needed for our own little thanksgiving dinner. munk invited ellen elephant and timmy tiger to celebrate with him. there are little trays, bread and pies. to decorate the loveliest centerpiece and some little little plants in baskets. and look on the floor, a wee puppy licking up the pail of spilt milk - don't cry now! thank you heidi, this will be brought out every november and we will celebrate down here! and sneaking a look in on the windowsill are two sweet little poppets courtesy of
claudine - they are groovy!
in the next room all ready for santa is the most beautiful little plate of cookies and candy cane with a glass of milk for the chap in red and a carrot for rudolph. and a letter of course. its so teeny we almost missed that wee wee glass of milk. munk has popped it under his tree. thank you jill! next to this is the place to relax and have some 'time out' treats, kindly provided by doreen and sandy. there is a tiny cup of tea, with teaspoon, a sweet little cake and the smallest embroidered napkin along with a vase of flowers and a book so munk can jot down his thoughts!
munk and timmy are picnicing. its a beautiful summer day. the whole set including the handmade basket!! came from
tracey and just get a load of all the detail - i thought i worked small - those napkins have the tiniest flowers and leaves embroidered that i have ever seen!!! the teeny glasses and plates in the lid and the bottle of wine. it wasn't until that i was setting this up that i twigged that it was a romantic outing - the tiffany's box, the red flowers, the wine. sorry munk but i don't think you'll be popping the question to timmy! ah but who am i to judge?! and look at timmy's i pod (just incase munk starts to rave on!) that is made by
sasha who sent it in a card that when opened plays cindi lauper's 'girls just wanna have fun'!!! too too cute.
and the beautiful little box from amy. so so beautiful that i have not yet taken out the contents but am in fact more than happy to gaze upon the goodness. i am seeing a sweet little garden setting. i am also seeing munk in some overalls and that pitchfork - perhaps accompanied by timmy!!! watch this space.
thank you everyone for the beautiful heartfelt things you made for club little house. i will never forget that magical afternoon i spent surrounded by such amazingness!!! xxx
Crazy crazy wonderful! I am sooooo jealous!!

I am so glad you liked the little bench I made. I just love your blog! I have added it to my blog roll. I was so hoping I would get one of your little doll beds but did not. Oh well! They are lovely. Again enjoy the bench. :-)
