prairie turned 10 last weekend (i cannot believe she is so old!) so this weekend we had a sleepover inspired by jackie's wonderful sleepover basket idea. she had four friends so only five pairs of jammies to make. i loved putting it all together and the reception it recieved when unveiled was all worth it! lots of squeals then a swim and straight into their new night attire! i popped little things like nail polish and tiny bottles of bubble mix in there. and i must say thank goodness for betty crocker. the pancakes were so easy the next morning when i was feeling a little weary from all the giggling that went on into the wee hours. they decorated some white paper carry bags and went home the next day with a little cello bag of party favors. i made some birthday cupcakes (another packet i must confess!) as prairie had had a huge carrot cake the previous weekend. the party was a huge success but i have to say i am glad its behind me!
You are such a lovely mummy. She'll remember that sleepover for a long time to come I'll bet.

So cute! I'm glad the girls loved their jammies! Our basket went for over $250 at the auction and a couple of other moms have asked up to make jammies for their girls' parties. The idea is definitely catching on! Happy Birthday to Prairie!

What a brilliant idea! I used to love midnight feasts when staying over with friends!
