sweet gift

i have been meaning to write about the sweet gift that was sent to our hotel when we were away. mama blueberry sent me such a lovely package with a cute little apron (prairie immedaitely claimed this as her own!) a vinatge cookie cutter, one of her little ring pincushions and a vintage runner. oh and some pop rocks but they were consumed the minute we got home by the children.

but the thing i loved the most was the beautiful little needlebook she made. it is delightful. i love the image and the colors. julie you are so clever and laurie, sorry, you'll have to sweet talk julie as this is staying right here!

and here is the cloth on my old sewing machine table in the hall by the front door sitting with two of my favourite sewing baskets, some sulky roses out of my garden and two allsorts scotties that match the scoties on the cloth. perfect!
