i just looked at the date on my last post and its a while ago. i think i came back from new york with a hiss and a roar then proceeded to tumble off my perch! prairie had an awful cough when we picked her up then the following weekend tommy had a horrible virus with high temperatures and vomiting. who should be next in line? moi of course. i had picked up a cough on the plane but late last week i started getting fluey. tommy's virus? i don't know. who knows with all the bugs floating around these days. anyway i think i am on the turn, must be if i'm up for a post! speaking of perch this is a piece of fabric i picked up at urban outfitters in soho. i just loved it. it is sold as a double bedspread but i have it over the couch at the moment but will probably use it on tommy's bed as a summer cover.
i also bought the mason dixon knitting book whilst away, its so cool! seeing that simmy's amber had started knitting a dishcloth i was inspired to knit one too and it was the perfect project as i didn't really feel like doing much else. so i hunted out some cotton and didn't stop till i was finished! of course i had to crochet around the edge. i have to crochet around everything in sight! this set me off looking for other patterns and found a circular one which is the orange knitting in progress. its going to be a dishcloth christmas!
and before i went down in a screaming heap i made another couple of kittys. i took them into a gorgeous shop last week that brings in beautiful french striped cottons and canvas plus lots of candles and soaps and dishes and clothing. all things french and luscious. they ordered 10 on the spot! we are going to talk turkey next week. i was, i am so excited. but for now i think i'll go back to putting my feet up and getting on with the next dishcloth!
congratulations you sick thing.... waiting to hear what turkey was talked....

I can see the headlines: dishcloth mania spreads to New Zealand having taken Britain by storm (well this teeny weeny bit of Britain). Yours looks lovely by the way especially with the crochet edge. How are you doing the circular one - looks amazing? You're really onto a winner with those kitties. Remember your poor old friends in blogland when you're famous and busy. By the way there's something in the post for you.........
