i am finding with typepad that i have to upload my images first as i get halfway through a post and go to put in another photo and it won't let me. and the photo is so relevant to the post. this has happened twice and twice i have deleted it. so this time i think i have managed!
meet the 3 not so blind mice. i was about to send off the other little one and thought i better make another while i still had the original, well another 3 it worked out. they are pretty fiddly at this size (8" from the tips of their ears) i still want to make them aprons or little jackets, knitted or made out of blanketing that i have dying in food colouring. more on that later, when i have got through all the cut up blankets.
another thing i have dong is playing with labels. i couldn't seem to finalise a label for printing and really wanted woven but they are so expensive here (will look into that later) so i tried hilary's trick of ironing the fabric to a piece of freezer paper (thank you for sending me that all the way from kansas mama blueberry!) and then through the printer, it worked well. i ironed it to hopefully heat set the ink and voila - labels!
this is of course for morphe II, so my creatures can go off looking posh with their labels and won't feel left out hob nobbing it with the big guys! not sure if these ones will go as i know prairie is eyeing up the blue one. he has a leg that is slightly raised making it look like he is dancing! tommy thought it looked more like a dog looking for a tree. thank you tommy!
Adorable! I love the labels - great idea!

Oh Louise, how can you bare to part with them they're so gorgeous? I love their little faces. Must get a verbal description from you about the labels...I don't even know what freezer paper is!
