back with mac

well finally.....and then its back to its old tricks and starts shutting down again. big downer for the household i can tell you. after 3 weeks of being away i couldn't believe it, so much so that i was up at 5am, a) because i was full of the flu b) i was seething. thanks steph for being there on the other side of the world and getting me through my early morning grumblings! anyway its much later in the day and i have spoken (nicely) with the repair guy and he said it must be the power source but when testing it blah blah. so he orders the part and when it is there i will whip mac in for a 20 minute job. 20 minutes / 3 weeks, as they say, go figure!
so what have i done for the last 3 weeks? oh no, now i have raved on about how busy i've been, how much one gets done without the lure of a screen. hope i can come up with the promised goods! i started with pincushions. first martha's tomatoes....

then i covered my new tabletop ironing board which i just love and which michael thinks looks like a vintage snowboard! it had to have a matching pincushion, this time a whip up one (hilary's?)

and the last pincushion, with matching mousie is a little something that will be zooming off to a little girl and her mom in a very big city. the mousie is one of the many toys that i've been making originating from the mice i opened my blog with. i just went smaller and smaller and came up with this one. i have been working towards morphe II and i have decided that i will just keep making and making until its time to post and then there will be an elimination round to see who will go to australia (which is just across the ditch as we say down here) oh i am so glad to be back,even though i could post off the laptop it wasn't the same! and simmy, this is quite a long post for me don't you think!
