i am now coveting one of those magnifying glass/lamp combos as i resorted to using a magnifying glass, taped to a box and weighted down with my tape dispenser (the closest heaviest item available). the letter is coming along at a clipping pace!
in whichever hemisphere you dwell! i love thinking that the earth is either breathing in or breathing out - in our southerness its an out breath. the shortest day. the beginning of the journey to the longest. i'm off to plant out the garlic then its time to light the fire and lots of candles x
p has been at it again! i came home the other night to find her weaving. its about 3x4" with dmc perle. i think we will spray mount it onto card and see what happens to it next. we both took photos - hers for instagram and tumblr and mine for here and flickr. the top two are mine and the last one is hers.
its been awhile. maybe its the winter creeping in. i don't know but here are a few things that i have meant to post over the last little while. here goes...........
p's apple carving - never one to just bite in. i think this was her instagram photo.
t's friend t was going to a p party so he opened the dictionary to the p section and went as the first thing he pointed to - a paddock! i got to stitching and added a vintage plastic horse from a christmas cracker/bonbon
the stitching on this project is slow as it is really fine and i need glasses and good light to tackle this but i almost have an R!
p and i took a strol in the hood a few days ago on a beautiful crisp winter morning.
a very old sock - probably one of the first. more life in the old pair yet. i adore darning and now when i am doing it, it is so tantilizing to p that i usually have to hand it over for her to finish. part of me loves that she wants to do it, the other part wants the thrill of the darn for meself!
